On this page hopehully, you will find all relevant information for your 6 Monthly LOLER inspection including understanding the Batch code, variations of labels over time and serial numbering.
Serial Numbering & Batch Codes
Due to evolution and a steep learning curve the serial numbering has taken several forms since the release of the harness in November 2023 but hopefully this will help you understand what you have in front of you.
Batch O2023091504
This is the 1st batch of 20, unfortunately due to several issues this label does not show either a serial number or a CE number (CE0082) so the DoC, the link available on this page and will confirm that information for you.
On some you will find a small green tag, this holds all the relevant information along with the purchase date and owner name. In order to read this you will need to scan it with your phone using NFC, Andriod will do this automatically, iPhone users will need to download a free NFC reader app such as NFC Tools.
Batch O2024030501
This is the second batch released in late April 2024 and on this release you will find a small QR code sticker in the bottom right of the label. This will have a visible serial number, ie TLAM0046 which is also contained in the QR code. Please note, the QR does NOT direct you to a Website and only contains the serial number.
READING THE BATCH CODE;
The batch code has 3 sections to it, for example;
O2024030501
O - Factory product ID
20 - Day date
24 - Year / 2024
03 - Month / 03 March
0501 - Factory run and amount of batches made
This date information is correct for the Halo Open ring attaching the bridge although the last 4 digits will differ due to being produced specifically for the harness on each order in a separate ISO 9001 registered factory.
Should this information differ, it can be assumed that it is a replacement part and the date code to be taken into consideration with regards lifespan and retirement of the part.
The Tightline Arb Carabiners are marked with an individual sequential serial number that can also be used to identify the manufacturing date. This is a simple system and can be read as follows;
Example 06240001
06 - Month / June
24 - Year / 2024
0001 - Sequential identification number
The first batch of the Robin pulleys does have an identifiable serial number starting TLAP. Numbers 0001 - 0050 inclusive have a manufacturing date of 04/2024.
Any further batches will hold all required LOLER information.
